Instructions
1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat.
2. Make the Cookie Dough:
Cream butter and both sugars until fluffy.
Add the egg and vanilla. Mix well.
Stir in flour, baking soda, and salt. Mix until combined.
Fold in the chocolate chips. Set aside.
3. Make the Brownie Batter:
Melt butter and chocolate chips together in a microwave-safe bowl (about 30–45 seconds); stir until smooth.
Whisk in the sugar, then the eggs and vanilla.
Stir in cocoa powder, flour, and salt until just combined.
4. Assemble:
Scoop about 1½ tablespoons of cookie dough and roll into a ball.
Scoop 1½ tablespoons of brownie batter and gently form into a similar shape.
Press the two halves together and slightly flatten into a thick disk — you should see a perfect split between cookie and brownie.
5. Bake for 10–12 minutes until edges are golden and centers are set (but still soft).
6. Cool on the tray for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
